ADHD can be a debilitating disorder that affects several areas in your life, but it requires very thoughtful assessment to ensure accuracy in diagnosing. Depending upon patient’s age, PsychSynergy Practices diagnosing process can include completion of self-report questionnaires, collateral information, clinical interview, and/or objective testing via The T.O.V.A. (Test Of Variable Attention). The T.O.V.A. Test is a 22-minute computer-generated, objective, and FDA-cleared continuous performance test (CPT) that measures attention and inhibitory control. It has been shown to accurately identify 87% of individuals without ADHD, 84% of non-hyperactive ADHD, and 90% of the hyperactive ADHD; and provides immediate test results.
